5.8.1 Dust Tests.粉塵測試

 

Purpose: To determine if the enclosure provides sufficient protection from dust intrusion from

windblown sand and road dust to allow the DUTto continue to meet the performance requirements

specified in the CTS. The accumulation of dust on heat sink devices will adversely affect heat dissipation. Dust may also combine with humidity and salt to produce unintentional conductive paths. Dust accumulation will adversely affect electro-mechanical devices resulting in increased friction or complete blockage of motion.

Procedure (Operating Type 1.2): Test according to ISO 20653 Protection against objects, water

and access. This test shall be conducted using ISO 12103-1, A2 Fine Grade Dust and should occur

for a period of 8 hours.

過程(操作方式1.2):測試根據(jù)ISO20653針對(duì)水等物體的防護(hù)。測試須使用ISO12103-1,A2優(yōu)良等級(jí),同時(shí),粉塵需持續(xù)8個(gè)小時(shí)。

 

Criteria: Functional Status shall be class A.

標(biāo)準(zhǔn):功能狀態(tài)須為A級(jí)

 

The DUT shall experience no damage, loss of function, or degradation of performance. The DUT shall pass the Functional/Parametric Test at the end of test prior to cleaning.

細(xì)試驗(yàn)粉塵與1993年之前PTI公司生產(chǎn)的 SAE Fine Test Dust 是相同的。只是由于鑒于依據(jù) ISO 12103-1
標(biāo)準(zhǔn)的測量儀器的升級(jí),其報(bào)告的顆粒尺寸要略小一點(diǎn)點(diǎn)。 SAE J726 標(biāo)準(zhǔn)已在2002年作為并由 ISO 5011 取代,ISO 5011 使用滿足

A4輕約一公斤?按理說A2粉塵含有更多小顆粒,那應(yīng)該重量更重才對(duì)???為何實(shí)際情況正好相反?

  但是,較大尺寸的粉塵顆粒本身的重量較之小顆粒要更重,雖然A4粉塵的數(shù)量不及A2多,但重量卻更重;另外,每個(gè)單獨(dú)的粉塵顆粒之間會(huì)有空氣存在,因此越多顆粒,也就意味著越多的空氣,這樣的后果就是較低的容重。比如一加侖罐子裝0-3微米亞利桑那道路試驗(yàn)粉塵,其重量大概只有1.5公斤,而同樣罐子裝ISO粗灰,則重達(dá)4.5公斤。
